Fitness Training

Getting fit should feel good, not like a chore.

When you Google the word fitness, you're given two definitions. First, the condition of being physically fit and healthy. Second, the quality of being suitable to fulfil a particular role or task. Both meanings highlight the importance of not just how your body looks, but what it can do.

Enter cardio, a word that either sparks excitement or dread. Many people go out of their way to avoid it, but if you’re aiming for a long and healthy life, it’s worth making space for it in your weekly routine. Contrary to popular belief, cardio isn’t the magic key to weight loss or achieving your dream body. However, when used correctly, it’s a powerful tool that can support weight loss and is essential for heart health.

At The Hills Fitness Co. we like to incorporate cardio through boxing and as a finisher to our strength training sessions. We've found that many people prefer to keep moving and dislike standing still during strength exercises. Which can be a problem as rest is an essential component to building muscle and strength. However, to meet that need, we offer the best of both worlds. After you’ve put in the hard work building strength, we finish strong with a cardio push to round things out.
