Frequently Asked Questions

What do you do if it rains? Or if it's freezing outside?

Fortunately, we have an undercover area, so if it’s raining or the weather turns for the worse, we can still train. Regarding the cold weather, we recommend that members dress appropriately for the conditions. By the middle of the session, members usually have removed several layers and are down to a t-shirt or singlet.

Can I attend group sessions if I'm new to exercise?

Yes of course. We have a variety of different fitness levels within our group. Some members haven’t exercised in years (or at all) and other members are just looking for something they enjoy. We support individuals at every stage.

What type of exercises and workouts will I be doing?

We have a variety of different pieces of equipment that we use. For strength, we primarily use dumbbells, barbells and sandbags. For cardio we utilise kettlebells, battle ropes, boxing pads and much more. As for our workouts, stay tuned to our socials to catch a sneak peak.

What's the most effective way to lose weight/build muscle?

The most effective way to lose weight is to be in a caloric deficit eg more calories burned than calories consumed. The best way to build muscle is through progressive overload (heavier weights, more reps, shorter rest, harder exercises)

Are there any social events or opportunities to meet other members?

Yes, building community is very important to us. We will be holding regular events and opportunities to catch ups throughout the year.

Will there be modifications for exercises if I have an injury or limitation?

Yes of course, if you have an injury or niggle we are able to modify the session for you so you are not aggravating the injury. We highly recommend seeing a health professional before starting with us so we are aware of what exercises you can and can’t do. This also means you will be able to complete your rehab exercises at our sessions.

I have been training for years, will this be challenging enough for me?

Yes, just as we cater to beginners we can also push the intensity for our more experienced members.

What kind of equipment do I need for group sessions?

For our group sessions, all you need to bring is a water bottle and your lovely self. Towels are encouraged, as equipment is shared. You're also welcome to bring your own exercise mat or boxing gloves—but if you don’t have them, no worries! We provide all the necessary equipment.

How do you keep clients motivated?

By continuing to provide members with fun and engaging workouts, we also recognize that exercise is just one part of the equation. Offering opportunities for members to socialize and create connections means they’re not just training with other members, but with friends.

I carry a few wear and tear injuries can I still join the group?

Of course, we can modify the sessions according to you and your fitness level. If you have an injury, we can either regress an exercise, swap it out for something completely different, or avoid movement through the injured area altogether. If it is a serious injury, we highly recommend consulting a health practitioner, with whom we are happy to work together.
